Tahitian Dance
Mondays 7:00pm-8:00pm Beginner / Intermediate Level Class
Mondays 8:00pm-9:00pm Advanced Level Class
Te Fare O Tamatoa, a school of Tahitian dancing and drumming, was formed in 2006 after many youth (and adults) experienced a cultural trip of a lifetime to Tahiti and neighboring island, Moorea.
Directors Manio Radford, Manu Radford and Daniel Tetuamanuhiri were born and raised in Tahiti and now give of their time and talent to teach the drumming and dance to many young people. These youth are eager to share the art and culture of Tahiti with you. The enchanting rhythms of the toere (drums made from hollowed out tree) and pahu (drum) together with the ukulele and guitar, and dancers adorned in authentic, vibrant handmade Tahitian costumes are sure to peak your interest in travel to the islands. Enjoy!
