Class description:
Nia is a cardiovascular workout that encompasses movement forms from
the martial arts (tai chi, aikido, & tae kwon do); dance (modern,
jazz, & Duncan); and the healing arts (yoga, Feldenkrais, & Alexander
technique
). Nia is a fitness method that replaces the idea of
punishment with pleasure. This completely unique program tones and
trims the body through pleasurable movement, and is adaptable to every
level of fitness, every age group, and every type of body.

My bio:
Jeanna has over seven years of experience guiding group fitness
classes in a variety of formats. She has four years of experience
teaching the Nia technique, including two years of training in
Portland, OR with Carlos and Debbie Rosas, the creators of Nia. She
has a group fitness instructor certification from the American Council
on Exercise
and a Blue Belt level certification in Nia.
