Mama Belly Dance with Katrina
Thursdays 11:00am-11:45am Starts September 9th!

 


Relax into the music and love moving your body in luscious and powerful ways, all the while enjoying the satisfaction of knowing that your kids are welcome to do what they do best – be kids!
  • Class begins with a welcome circle for kids and caregivers
  • Dance movement based program: strengthening, stretching, and improving our flexibility.
  • Geared especially toward the needs of a mama’s hardworking body!
  • Each week we will cover stationary and traveling steps suitable for all styles of belly dance.
  •  At the end of class the children are invited to join us for a mini dance party.

Who's welcome: All mamas (& nannies!) may register for the class, and may bring their children of any age. Katrina encourages a positive, supportive environment in the studio where dancers of all ages, shapes and abilities are welcome.

What to wear:
You will want to wear comfortable clothing that allows the instructor to see your torso and legs. We will be spending time on the floor! Please wear dance shoes or bare feet – no socks on mamas or kids in the studio, please!

Toy code:
If your children wish to bring a toy from home, if they don’t feel like sharing it it’s probably best to leave it in the car.

There is no other class like this and it has been MADE FOR YOU!!!!

Yes, there will be moments when the  instructor or  the students need to take a break for their children. But we have an evil device in the back room called a TV that should help occupy your little angel while you enjoy a 45 minute class that includes 30 minutes of cardio exercise. (Please keep in mind, it usually takes 2-3 classes for the children to adapt to our rhythm. So, please do not be discouraged if your child makes you wanna scream during the class. We understand and it's ok. It gets easier the more you often come.)
